What is a Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant is a person who has the education, skills, qualifications, and experience as a Administrative Assistant, Accountant or Bookkeeper, Web Designer, and Sales Assistant. VA's work from their home and their home office. They have everything that you would have in an office to complete the projects and tasks that you need to be done.
1. Does it matter where a Virtual Assistant is located?

No! Everything is done through technology. Fax, mail, phone, courier, instant messenger, and email. So a Virtual Assistant can do work for a client any where in the United States and even out of the country.

2. Why do people hire a Virtual Assistant instead of an Employee?

Virtual Assistants are only paid for their time that they spend on your projects and tasks. Also additional supplies that you would need such as paper, ink, and postage. Their are many cost saving benefits to having a Virtual Assistant instead of an employee. You never pay for any down time, no taxes, no holiday pay, no additional office equipment, no sick days, and no insurance. Virtual Assistants are Independent Contractors they are responsible for their own benefits and taxes.

3. Is the Client obligated to use a Virtual Assistant for a certain length of time?

No! I have clients that are one-time projects, short-term projects, and long-term projects. It depends on what your needs are? It depends on what the projects and tasks are? Some times a client of mine will be with me for 6 months and then don't need the services anymore. Than in a few months they call me or email me because they have a special project or need additional help with their work load.

4. How do I know the work is being completed?

This is the biggest question I get asked. It is if the deadlines are being met. Also the projects and tasks are being delivered on time. The work is satisfactory to you as the client. I have been in this business since 2003 and have never had a problem out of a client with my work being satisfactory. It is just as if you had someone working right in the office with you every day. You delegate the work and you look for results. When the projects and tasks are being completed and the work load is easier on you than you know that a Virtual Assistant is working out.

5. How am I billed?

You negotiate a rate by the hour with the Virtual Assistant. Than the rate by the hour is broken down into 15 minute increments. That is how you are never charged for down time on projects and tasks.

6. Can I use several Virtual Assistants?

Yes! Many Individuals and businesses use several Virtual Assistants. All Virtual Assistants have certain things that is what they specialize in and sometimes you might have one to do your administrative work and maybe another one to do your bookkeeping. You might have one that just Viral Networks for you. The greatest thing about Virtual Assistance is that it is not cut throat and we all network together. We only take as much as we handle and so if we are full on clients than we will refer you to another VA that is just as qualified. There is plenty of work for all Virtual Assistants.

7. Are there any requirements before I contact a Virtual Assistant?

Yes! You should always know before you contact a Virtual Assistant what kind of projects and tasks you need to be done? A plan or an idea of the projects and tasks you have to knock out. Be realistic on your time frame to complete the projects or tasks. Do not expect miracles. We are human beings and it takes a reasonable amount of time to complete certain items. Make sure you have an idea of what your budget is? Also make sure and tell the Virtual Assistant what hours a week that you will require attention from them. What type of deliverance of the projects and tasks that will be require?

8. We are not employees!

I can't stress that enough. So we do not need micro managed. There is not an interview process. We do not sit down and meet with the client unless it is local and the client comes to our location. We do not provide resumes to our clients because everything that would be on our resume is usually on our websites. You can not say that you need us ten hours a week and then consume all of our time which ends up to be 40 hours a week and not expect us to bill you for the time that you consumed. However it is acceptable to have a phone consultation, check out the website, and you also have the right to compare prices and other services of Virtual Assistants. You should always do that to make a decision.

9. Why are their Virtual Assistants?

Virtual Assistants have been around for decades. They were secretaries that worked at home. The phrase Virtual Assistant was coined in the 90's. Like I said in the very first fact, we have all of the experience, skills, and qualifications we just choose to work at home. Pick and choose who we work with and what tasks that we want to take on. We were developed for people who could not afford a full time employee, staffing agency, and we give you an option to get the projects and tasks done with out spending a fortune.
